The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) opened its 36th Food Expo, along with the Beauty & Wellness Expo and Home Delights Expo, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Running from 13 to 17 August, the fairs collectively host more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, creating a vibrant marketplace that spans food, tea, home living, beauty, and wellness sectors. The central theme, "Live Well. Stay Well," underscores the growing integration of wellness into everyday life, reflected in the food and beverages we enjoy, home care, and physical and mental well-being. Dr Jonathan Choi, Council Member of the HKTDC, emphasized that the fairs offer a wide range of products and experiences that support healthier, happier, and more balanced lifestyles.
Sophia Chong, Executive Director of the HKTDC, highlighted Hong Kong's role as a regional food trading hub and a bridge connecting the Chinese Mainland and international markets. She noted that through platforms like Food Expo PRO and the International Conference on the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products (ICMCM), the HKTDC fosters cross-border and cross-sector collaboration, strengthening Hong Kong's position in the global food and health industries.
