KidzCare Pediatrics announced that Dr. Erika Pritchett, an experienced board-eligible pediatrician, will join their Wilmington office beginning September 17th. Dr. Pritchett will see patients five days a week from Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., bringing significant expertise in both clinical pediatrics and global health leadership to the practice. Her addition is particularly meaningful for Wilmington families seeking care that reflects the diversity of the community, as her presence as a Black physician strengthens KidzCare's commitment to providing accessible, family-centered medicine where every family feels represented and supported.
Dr. Pritchett completed her pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, following her Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Most recently, she served as Chief Medical Officer for the Baret Scholars Program (International), where she oversaw global health risk systems, coordinated emergency protocols, and supported fellows across six continents. This background in international health systems management enhances the practice's capacity to address complex pediatric needs within a local community context.
"I greet every child and family with a warm smile and attentive care, providing thoughtful, evidence-based pediatric medicine from birth through young adulthood," said Dr. Pritchett. "I'm excited to relocate to Wilmington and return to a practice setting where I can build continuity of care, support parents at every stage, and watch children grow and thrive." Her clinical interests include supporting parents during the newborn period and guiding adolescents through emotional and behavioral changes, blending current research, clinical expertise, and compassionate partnership with families.
