U.S. Marine Corps veteran Adam Khosroabadi and U.S. Army veteran Chauncy Nash have joined Virtue Recovery's outreach team, expanding nationwide support for veterans and others facing addiction, PTSD, and mental health challenges. Their addition represents more than just team growth—it signifies a deepening commitment to serving individuals and families navigating substance abuse, mental health struggles, and the complex path toward recovery.
Both veterans bring professional expertise and lived experiences to their roles, with Khosroabadi serving as Community Outreach Specialist supporting Virtue At The Pointe Recovery Center in Astoria, Oregon, and Virtue Recovery Center in Milwaukie, Oregon. A Marine Corps Combat Veteran, Khosroabadi openly shares his own recovery journey, building trust and compassion in the people he serves. His extensive outreach experience serving both veteran and civilian populations has made him a respected figure in Portland's behavioral health community.
Chauncy Nash, a retired U.S. Army veteran who dedicated 20 years to service including multiple combat tours, brings military leadership and healthcare experience to his role as Business Development Liaison. After retiring, Nash transitioned into healthcare, spending three years as a liaison and regional account manager where he forged partnerships and improved outcomes for patients and families. His technical expertise in business data analytics and software development, combined with his people-first mentality, adds a rare balance of skill and compassion to the team.
The hiring of these veterans addresses the unique challenges military personnel face regarding mental health and recovery. Having leaders who not only understand these struggles but have lived them ensures outreach is authentic and impactful. They will be instrumental in strengthening community connections, supporting families, and broadening access to care through Virtue Recovery's nationally accredited network of recovery and detox centers with locations in Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Texas.
Virtue Recovery's treatment approach goes beyond addressing symptoms, focusing on healing every layer of a person's life through dual-diagnosis programs that treat substance abuse and mental health conditions together. The organization combines evidence-based therapies with compassion and individualized support, integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of healing to help individuals build foundations for lasting wellness.
